Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6 Powder is a cosmetic-grade polymer thickener and gelling agent designed for use in a wide range of skincare, haircare and body-care formulations. It is dispersible in water and can form clear gel systems after neutralisation, making it particularly useful for creating gels and modifying the viscosity, texture and stability of cosmetic formulations.

Its versatility makes it suitable for both leave-on and rinse-off products, including serums, gels, toners, creams, masks, shampoos, hair masks, body lotions and shower gels.

Dispersibility: Dispersible in water and forms a clear gel after neutralisation.

pH: The supplier recommends an optimal formulation pH range of 5.0–8.0 for full thickening performance. The raw material itself has a specified pH of 3.0–5.0 when measured as a 1% aqueous solution.

Processing: Cold-water dispersion is recommended to help minimise agglomeration. The supplier recommends a dispersion temperature of 40°C or below.

The material can withstand short-term heating up to 60°C during formulation. Avoid prolonged heating above 70°C, as this may result in reduced performance.

The polymer is reported by the supplier as compatible with anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants, humectants, plant extracts, vitamins and most cosmetic active ingredients.

Always carry out appropriate stability, compatibility and preservation testing on the finished formulation.
