Solubility: Fully water-soluble; miscible with glycerin and propanediol. Insoluble in non-polar oils.
Incorporation: Add to the aqueous phase. For heated formulations, incorporate during the cool-down phase below 45°C to help protect the bioactive components. It can also be added directly to cold-process formulations under gentle stirring.
Avoid prolonged heating above 45°C. Temperatures above 60°C may degrade flavonoid actives and reduce efficacy.
Recommended Formulation pH: 4.0–7.0
Optimal Stability: pH 4.5–6.0
Avoid strongly alkaline conditions above pH 8.0
Compatibility
Compatible with most humectants, nonionic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants, and common cosmetic preservatives.
