Green Tea Extract Liquid – Cosmetic Grade
Our Green Tea Extract Liquid (Standardised Polyphenols & EGCG) is a water-soluble botanical extract derived from Camellia sinensis leaves and supplied in a convenient liquid format for cosmetic formulation.
This cosmetic-grade extract is standardised to ≥5.0% Total Polyphenols and ≥2.0% EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate). The current batch tested at 5.32% Total Polyphenols and 2.17% EGCG, providing clearly defined active-marker levels rather than an unspecified botanical extract.
Green Tea Extract is particularly suitable for antioxidant, soothing, conditioning and astringent skincare formulations and can be incorporated into toners, facial mists, serums, essences, creams, lotions and masks.

Formulation Guidance
Recommended Usage Rate: 1.0–5.0%
Typical application levels:
- Toner / Mist: 1.0–2.0%
- Serum / Essence: 2.0–3.0%
- Cream / Lotion / Mask: 2.0–5.0% Green Tea Extract Liquid TDS
Solubility: Fully water-soluble and miscible with glycerin and propanediol. Insoluble in non-polar oils.
Incorporation: Add to the aqueous phase. For heated formulations, incorporate during the cool-down phase below 45°C to help protect the polyphenol content. Do not add to the hot phase.
For cold-process formulations, Green Tea Extract Liquid can be added directly to the aqueous phase with gentle stirring.
Avoid prolonged heating above 45°C. Temperatures above 60°C may degrade polyphenols and EGCG, reduce antioxidant activity and cause darkening of the extract.
Recommended Formulation pH: 3.5–6.5
Optimal Stability: pH 4.0–5.5
Avoid strongly alkaline conditions above pH 7.0, which may degrade the polyphenol fraction. Green Tea Extract Liquid TDS
